This morning a subcommittee meeting was held for HF 241 A bill for an act relating to utilities commission member attendance at hearings and informational meetings, was held and I had a chance to view the meeting online.
I didn’t think about recording the mtg until almost the end. I captured an audio clip as Chairman Holt was giving his final comments.
He spoke after all the landowners, a lobbyist and his colleagues. All were in favor of the passage of this bill.
Subject Matter: IUC Commissioners are not Attending the Informational Meetings and many times during the phase 1 Fort Dodge hearings they were MIA, Missing in Action/ABSENT!
Rep Holt mentions hearing about the commissioners absence from informational meetings directly from Speaker Pat Grassley.
